OTD Energy 2022 kicked off in Sotra Arena on 19-20 October in glorious sunshine. - We participated for the first time in 2011, and since then we have participated in every fair in both Bergen and Stavanger, says Birthe.
This is the second OTD Energy fair Hycom has staged after the pandemic. After the fair, we asked Birthe Østerbø how she experienced this year’s fair. Not just academically, but also the general atmosphere in the industry.
– At the OTD Energy fair last year, and the fair we attended this year, I think that exhibitors and visitors seem more carefree in terms of the time of the pandemic. The smile was looser now than before, says Birthe.
– The HPU model we exhibited at the fair was an exhibition model. It runs a cylinder in and out to show how it works. We produce equivalent HPUs for our customers according to customer requirements, says Birthe.
OTD Energy is important to HyCom
– I think it is important that HyCom participates in the OTD Energy Fair. It is important for us to show that we are on the market and that we are available. Not least, I think it is important to have the opportunity to have good conversations with customers and suppliers. Where we can discuss future prospects and not least discuss any challenges that may arise in different phases of a work.
The world is in a difficult time with both increased costs and challenges in general. But Hycom are lucky and skilled to be in full operation with work both onshore and offshore.
– We always want to improve, and with good conversations with other exhibitors at OTD Energy, it is easier to see new solutions aimed both at a greener everyday life, and also at quality and solid products, concludes Birthe.
